What is included in my rental fee?
The basic rental fee includes use of the Barn and access to the grounds, including the pond, the creek, rolling hills, wooded areas and unlimited photo locations on the property. We have just added 3 brand new, large, beautiful restrooms in the barn as well, and one is handicapped accessible. Our magnificent Bridal Suite is now available for your bridal party to get ready, or to use as an additional lounge or party space. Bistro lighting is included, and plenty of electricity. A beautiful handmade bar with live bark edge, lighting and bar stools are also included. Please see our Package Options page for additional inclusions.
How many guests can your venue accommodate?
We can comfortably seat 200-225 guests in the Barn. Capacity may vary depending on your desired set-up. If more people are attending, you can extend the party by renting a tent and using our vast outdoor space.
How long do I have access to the property and premises?
You may start setting up a few days prior to your event, and we ask that you have all your rentals, decorations and personal property removed by noon on the day following your event. The event itself must end at 11pm.
Do you have parking on premises?
Yes, we can accommodate 100 cars on the premises.
Do you have restrooms in the Barn?
YES WE DO! We are happy to announce we have just built 3 new beautiful restrooms in the downstairs area of the barn, accessible from a stairway inside of the upstairs of the barn, as to not take away any space for your event upstairs!! All of our bathrooms are unisex and one is handicapped accessible.
Are there accommodations nearby for out of town guests?
Yes, in the town of Owego, which is about 20 minutes away, there are a trio of major hotel chains. Many of our clients choose to hire a shuttle bus service to bring their guests back and forth. Please see our vendor page for recommendations for the hotels and transportation service.
Can we decorate the barn with our own decorations?
Yes!! That’s the fun part of having an empty big beautiful space! You can go with a rustic theme, or as elegant as you wish! All we ask is that you do not use nails, screws or duct tape anywhere in the Barn, as to not cause any permanent damage. Decorations can be attached with push pins and thumb tacks.
Do you have any decorations available to use?
Yes, we have a growing inventory of decorations and interesting finds that you are welcome to use. We have wine barrels, a farm table, mason jars, an antique door with a chalkboard front, chalkboard signs, bottles with baby’s breath, hay bales, mexican blankets...and more!
Do you have any vehicles for transporting guests on and around the property?
Yes, we have a John Deere Gator that holds 4 passengers and a 3 passenger Ranger. We also have Hay Wagons to transport a larger number of guests. Please contact us for pricing them, along with a driver, for the day.
When is the Barn at Tricolla Farms available to rent?
Events may be held in the Barn and on the grounds from May through October. If there are other dates you have in mind, please contact us for further information.
Is there a place in the Barn for my caterer to work and prepare?
We have an area for catering prep in the lower level of the Barn with large sinks with hot and cold running water, a refrigerator, stove, microwave and ample counter space.
Do you have on-site wedding planning services?
We can assist you with coordinating and finding vendors, or work with your event planner.
Do I need to obtain event insurance?
We strongly suggest that you do obtain wedding/event insurance.
Is there a Bridal Suite or area where the Bride can get ready?
YES! We have recently completed and opened our “Bridal Suite”, another uniquely beautiful rustic building, with large mirrors, a loft, chandeliers, comfortable furniture and dressing areas for the bridal party. This area can also be used as another small party or lounge area!
Are candles or smoking permitted in the Barn?
No, there is absolutely no smoking in the Barn, and candles are not permitted. Flameless battery operated candles are a terrific substitute and look fabulous!
What is your policy on serving alcohol?
Tricolla Farms provides both alcohol and bartending services. Please contact us about pricing options.
